As the examples of unworkable typologies show, Typologies, like anything else can be used with loving intent or, if one is not considerate, with malice. Now to be sure there have been
some pretty far out ideas used as typologies. A few examples of them I will share with you here. This page however is devoted to the possitive possibility for growth that the workable and empowering
typologies represent.. LINKS
to FRIENDLY TYPOLOGIES on this page. Carlos Castenada wrote about Don Juans manner of tpying or classifying people relative
to the Naguals party of warriors. No formal name was given to it and to my knowledge there is nothing on the net written in detail about it I will provide it for you here.
There are, he says 4 types of women and 4 types of men. Secondly there is a fitth type of each gender and this one embodies all the types of their gender. These Naguals,
as they are known, then have an unusual amount and quality of energy to them. The types of women are broken down interestingly into winds, the North, South, East and West. The fifth
type is the Nagual woman. With the men, the types are: The Man of Action, the Man of Knowledge, the Organizer (who is the man behind the scenes), and the Courier. These each are described in detail on this page link The Naguals Party of Warriors.
Interestingly for me I have had plenty of time now in which to get to know each of these types of people. It is fascinating. Seth described a rather unique typology. Unique even for a typology
found on this page. This one has to do with the various types or inclinations of consciousness. He says we all belong primarily, to one or more of the various types or as he calls them, Families of Consciousness that humans share. I don't think this typology is listed anywhere else on the net either.
I recently (10/2006) happened upon a great website,
Ian Xel Lungold's www.mayanmajix.com ) that shows the Mayan Civilizations typology.
I like the site a lot but it is not elegantly simple to get your astrological information as it is not an "Astrology" website persay. It will take a little work but it is worth it.
I have done my, my mates, and my kids birth dates with this typology system and am very pleased with it's accuracy. IMPORTANT NOTE:
The Mayans did not count a new day until the sun came up so, if on your birthday, you were born before the sun came up you will need to use the date of the day previous, to your birthday.
Step One: Go to http://www.mayanmajix.com/TZOLKIN/index.php , enter your
birthdate to find out your place in the Mayan astrological view. Step Two: Go to http://www.mayanmajix.com/cgi-bin/schlabo/potd.pl/ Here, by using the previous page
and next page links you can look up the meaning of your Tone (within the 13 Intents of consciousness) and the meaning of your Sun Sign which tells how your particular energies
and focus fit into the Spirits grand scheme; the big picture. Know that on that page, the Tone and the Sun sign that are shown at once on the page do NOT go together. Look them up separately
as he put this page together to show how the two calendars (the 260 day one (the Tones) and the 360 day one) (the Sun signs) interplay not, to show us specifically our astrological influences.
Most Calendars measure and count time. The Mayan Calendar does not. Ian says that
what it actually does is measure the rate, flow and intent of creation itself. It is the evolution of consciousness you could say, throughout Creation.
After studying it some
and intuiting also I have to say that It makes sense to me. There are paths to growth and Nature and All That Is know them. Some of us seem to know also. Thanks for the inspiration Ian!
Step Three: If you use the left panel of this next page I refer you at http://www.mayanmajix.com/lab_F1.html you can read
An Overview of the Mayan Calendar. Within that you can read about Creations 13 basic Intents of Consciousness, and the 20 Sun signs (also known as Day signs)
all of which have a unique purpose relative to creations grand plan. Also be sure to look up (via this left side panel) The Planetary Consciousness Cycles
bit Ian has there as it too relates to the particular energy you bring to life. Just above that you can look at the Nine levels on Consciousness that have to do with
the Mayan Calendar and affects all of us astrologically. Above that you can look into the cycle we are currently in (the Galactic Consciousness Cycle) which our consciousness is
moving through. This helps us to understand not only what we are going through right now but what to expect in the near future. This next url is the website of Ian's friend who did
the foundational research on the Mayan Calendar and how it has to do with the transformation of consciousness. I have not read it yet but it is supposedly great scientific work:

Life Colors, a book by Pamala Oslie
published by New World Library out of Novato California. Her site is:
http://www.auracolors.com/ Go there and you will see the navigation link to the "test" on the left side of the
page. The books publisher is at: http://www.newworldlibrary.com The
book costs between 12 and 18 dollars typically, depending upon where you buy it. This typology is based upon the human aura. Pamala is not only able
to see but accurately interpret the human it. She says "Being able to "read" the aura and understand the meaning behind each color has helped me understand the way I
process information, my interactions with people, how to handle love relationships, and my purpose in life. My purpose in writing about the aura is to bring this knowledge to others, to
enable them to understand how and why they process life in a particular way. This knowledge gives them permission to be themselves, and to become more accepting of
themselves and others while learning effective ways of changing their unwanted behaviors and attitudes." In the book she offers two manners to get to know your primary aura colors. One takes
from 30 min. or more to do. It is an easy yes or no test and the other is a briefer and in my estimation less reliable way of getting your colors, and that is by looking up (in her book) the
types of vocations most closely associated with these various personality types. She breaks the types down into three divisions. One she calls the 'Emotional Life Colors', another is the Mental
Life Colors and the third is the Combination Life Colors bunch. As is the case with Astrology books, her book also has sections where she goes into how
these types are in the area of relationship. Very handy! While I have found this Aura typology to be greatly accurate I have also found through
years of sharing this one with people that the person wanting to find out their aura color(s) has to have a minimum amount of consciousness about their own selves. In my experience
people have to be at least a 3 on a 10 scale of conscious awareness, otherwise you will not be able to #1. stick with the test long enough to get your color or #2. not be able to clearly and
definately 'get' what color or colors you in fact are. Your seeing about your own self will be so clouded or mistaken that you won't get your color right. Basically, the younger you are or
the less of a self-examined life you have lived, the harder it is to get to your true self with this method. I have had this book for a few years now and only now saw this today on her
acknowledgements pages: She had special thanks for the following for their part in inspiring her awakening. Seth, Jane Roberts, Richard Bach, Deepak Chopra and Terry cole-Whittaker.
Pamala is currently available for private readings. Call (805) 687-6604 to schedule an appointment.
The Enneagram
can be seen as a set of nine distinct personality types, with each number on the Enneagram denoting one type. It's common to find some of who you are in all nine of the types, but, one
of them will very likely stand out as being closest to your true nature. This is your basic personality type. Everyone emerges from childhood with one of the nine types
dominating their personality, with inborn temperament and other pre-natal factors being the main determinants of our type. Most of the major Enneagram
authors apparently agree that we are born with a dominant type. Subsequently, this inborn orientation largely determines the ways in which we manipulate through our early childhood
environment. At 4 to 5 years of age, although a childs identity is still very fluid, it is here that they begin to establish themselves and find ways of fitting into the world on their own. Thus,
the overall orientation of our personality reflects the totality of all childhood factors (including genetics) that influenced our development.

While I don't know of an Jewish or a muslim typology, but I would love to know if there are any. If you know of either or those OR any other typologies that you would like to make me aware of, please let me know of it and how/where I can check it out |
