This page has some of the Television shows and Films that I have either really enjoyed and found to be significant for me in some way or which I think it is important for some other reason which I will mention next to its name. These are often movies or shows that would be in my video library if I had such a thing. I am sure there are many, many more great movies out there I haven't seen. Please feel free to refer those that have moved you to me. Also, please share what the movie or show is about and how it impacted or spoke to you. Thanks. I add more to this from time to time |

Comedies |
Jon Stewart and The Daily Show - My favorite current show. I shudder to think of television without this political outlet. I realize they have a huge amount of writers working on this show but damn they come up with some of the best, most wickedly funny and pointed political and otherwise bits! Where else can you find such value as this show offers us. Well, frankly almost no where else save Bill Maher's show and the next one I'll mention below. Colbert Report - Steven Colbert went out on his own (sort of) after leaving the Daily Show. I say sort of because Jon Stewart is the Executive Producer. Brilliant idea to demonstrate to the public who and how Bill O'Reilly (from the Fox Network) and the political right really are. I really like a few parts of his show the best. His segment called "Tonights Word" and the interviews he does of various folk. Great show. Original enough to set it apart from the Daily Show yet musically and politically related. Of course both shows make fun of the Democratic party and some people in general too. |
Seinfeld - Oh my god is this show funny. There have been so many times when I was so thankful to be able to go home from work (house painting) and kick back and laugh my ass off for an hour or more watching reruns of this or any great comedy show. Excellent way to relax into your evening. The Body Knows, laughter is the best medicine. All the Characters on Seinfeld are great!! Julia Louise Dreyfus has a second show of her own now that is good and which I hope stays on. A great delight of mine is to catch an episode of Seinfeld that I have somehow missed seeing over the years. |
The Drew Carey Show - Crazy funny humor. One of my favorite Television shows. there aren't that many worth watching these days. Drew is the underdog. Will he ever win? |
Dharma and Greg - Love the contrast between the characters. Hippies and Uptights. Cultures colliding. Warmth winning. Quirky and lighthearted. |
King Of Queens - Funny and this couple doesn't have the argumentative bit between them as on the show Everybody Loves Raymond and I like less of that. The female lead is attractive and Ben Stiller is it that plays her father is hilarious. One of those shows I can count on for laughter. |
Will and Grace - One of those shows where you like the characters and they are funny and all but so unenlightened at the same time. |
Ellen - She used to have a show where she was the owner of a book store. She was good in that. Excellent funny show that did not get enough of a chance due to the fear people were living from relative to homosexuality which gave the network reason enough to let it go. |
Everybody Loves Raymond - This is one of my favorites too, very funny but rather heavy or undesirable in some ways in that there is so much put down, arguing, anger and upset that is a part of it. that part wears on me some. I don't tend to want to include that energy too much. |
Home Improvement - Great show!! Again the Andy Griffith effect. Quality programming in which a person can easily learn about life and relationships. Humanity, humor and uniqueness. I love the idea of the neighbor whose face you never fully see. Wilson Wilson is his name. I also love the making fun of the whole machismo thing that Tim Allen does in this show. |
Friends - Knee slapping funny! Great ensemble cast! Cute women. Great stories. |
Grace Under Fire - The lady has balls and I appreciate that in women. Being Balsy is not a cake walk. She worked her way up to this spot of having a televison show and I think this comediane really has somthing to be proud of in this show. More great character ensembles. |
Spin City - One of my very favorite shows! Michael J. Fox is great but I feel Charlie Sheen was a perfect choice to take his place when he had to leave due to Parkinsons disease I believe it is. The writing is awesome! Hell-a-funny show!! Nice having beautiful women to ogle too. oh I know that is not politically correct to say but since being 'politically correct' is not my mission I will say that I greatly admire the beauty found in some female forms. Heather Locklear is one of those people like Dick Clark of American Bandstand fame who never seems to get older. She is gorgeous! I laugh a lot during this show! |
M*A*S*H - Alan Alda is one of my heroes, like Andy Griffith. As everyone knows this is one of our best all time television shows. Incredibly beautiful in its mixture of humanity, chaos and humor. My heart reached greater depths thanks to this show. This is another example of What Television Can Be. |
Mork and Mindy - Incredible showcase of Robin Williams talents but I liked all the characters in this program. He is such a beautiful man. Deep and the movies he chooses to be in almost always are too. He's in movies you can learn from. Thank you Robin for the contribution you are to us all. We are blessed for having you. |
Alf - I don't care what planet you live on, this character is funny! Hide your kitties! Sometimes it's easier to hear it from an Alien than it is from your family. He is from another planet, you can't expect him to be politically correct! |
Murphy Brown - I like capable women, people who apply themselves. People who have an opinion and aren't shy about sharing it. I am a womens libber to a degree and so I found this show very smart, funny and telling. Lots of great characters. |
The Bill Cosby Show - Bill produces shows that one can learn and grow from. Thank You Bill! Love your comedy and your television shows. I even appreciate your views on how black folk need to lift themselves up. Through speaking english, etc. Keep up the good work! |
The Benny Hill Show - From England it got some air time for a good while here. I think it was on a public broadcasting channel. Again, very funny guy. A bit naught at times but that just helps us all own the lecherous aspect within ourselves. |
Monty Python - One of my favorite all time shows. Brainstorming gone mad! Tremendous gift this comedy troop has been for us all ever since they got started. They've done great movies too and some songs have come out of thier work that are just phenomenol. |
News Radio - More great characters and ensemble cast! Very 'spunky'! Great comedy! I haven't seen it on Tv for awhile but I do remember laughting heartily while watching it. This show brought the comedian Andy Dick to my attention. What a character! |
WKRP in Cincinnati - I was in High School in the 70's. I was into Pot, psychedelic's, psychedelic posters and lots of Rock and Pop music. This show had a lot of neat characters and great writing. Taking stock of all these favorite shows of mine I see that so many had these great ensemble casts. |
Taxi - Big cast, a variety of people types and some very unique ones like Latka, and who was the other guy that took his place that was such a space case? The guy from Back To The Future, the professor. Those two characters were VERY funny! Tony was endearing. They actually delved rather deeply into the psyche from time to time so I tended to enjoy that aspect of it. Always nice to have at least one hot bave on the show. |
Barney Miller - Oh! great comedy show. One of the few that were obviously inheritors of thoughful programming a-la The Andy Griffity Show. People grew out of watching this show. It is not just entertainment. Funny! Great characters and a varied ensemble cast. TV worth watching. |
Get Smart - Don Adams and Barbara Feldon More silly but funny humor. The crazier the better. |
The Jonathan Winters Show - A man of many personalities. Another beautiful gift of a Being he is for us. Someone to learn from. Beautiful heart. Awesome improvisationist! So funny you will pee your pants! |
The Smothers Brothers Show - Very talented and committed people these. I hightly respect who |
Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In - Lots of great people. Humor as a gift of Joy. Creative, irreverent and intelligent. I enjoyed their casual style. They were the Jon Stewart show of their time. |
Hollywood Squares - Loved the fun time had by all at this show. Used to come home from school and
watch it. Paul Linde, Jonathan Winters, Phillis Diller, all these great people coming on and |
Bewitched - Samantha was hot! Cool ideas of what one could do with a great imagination. Loved seeing Paul Linde's guest appearances. What a gift he is. {as we don't die.} |
Gilligans Island - Plenty of interesting possibilities with this cast and situation. Thge Professors
Science and Paranormal Related |
Sightings - UFO's and other odd phenomena. Again the gathering of knowledge from the fringes. Exploration. Expansion of the mind and imagination. |
In Search Of - I love to learn about the unusual. Not telling you anything you likely did not know befor now. Thank you Leonard Nimoy for your great hosting of the show. |
Celebrity Paranormal - Reality Tv combines your favorite stars with haunted places. From Playboy bunnies to Kung Fu Celeb David Carradine. Good show. While the producers don't point out the apparitions as much as I'd like you do see them, well, their affects on the show and that is sooo cool!! I like how they have set the show up. They could make it better but it is good entertaining tv and you can learn some about spirits too. |
Miscellaneous |
Top Chef and Hells Kitchen - I like both of these shows though prefer the Top Chef one of late as there is more relationship and less unnecessary drama in that program. I like learning about food from time to time though I haven't changed my cooking or what I cook because of them. |
The Making of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders - At first I thought this show was just going to be a lot of eye candy but I gave it a chance and darned if I did not like it for so much more. I appreciate a lot more what it takes to make it onto a squad. |
Trick My Truck - I love Beauty, Service and Gratitude and I find all these in this show. They give some beautiful and highly creative gifts to these deserving truckers. |
The Awful Truth - I like most anything Michael Moore does. He is one of my heroes. Speaking truth to power, or to those who think they are power eh? Keep at it Michael and may All That Is continue to bless you. We need thousands more similar to you. Who's next? |
The Wild Wild West - Like science fictions without being quite that. Creative stories and villians. Gadgets galore and for an inventor such as myself I delighted in that aspect of it. A definate adventure every week. Jim West and Artemis Gordon, great characters played by the perfect actors. One of the shows I used to watch with my dad. Fun! |
Bonanza - Where I got my love of painted horses from. Another quality show that one could learn about
life from. Looking back on it now it too had a big sense of Justice to it. Mr. Cartwright |
Little House on the Prairie
- With Michael Landon. Family and relationship are all important. That and integrity again show up. Family viewing that invited communication with your own. |
Highway To Heaven - With Michael Landon, famous from Bonanza. Love the show. Incredibly handsome guy. Great stories of forgiveness, redemption, inspirations and thus hope for many. Another tv show where you could learn to become a better person. If your not familiar with the show he is an angel sent to help various people here on their path. |
Breaking Bonaduce - A powerful figure being very vulnerable with us. What a gift! What a train wreck too as it happens. Fascinating character Danny is. Now this is The Real Deal when it comes to Reality TV. Out of doing this show though he is growing in leaps and bounds as a person. Discovering himself. It is inspiring and humbling to watch. He is such an inspiration. His vulnerability invites others to learn from him and his mistakes. Not accidents. He did not have any of of those happen to him. Everything has at least one purpose. See if you can spot the silver linings of the dark cloud that he was. |
The Partridge Family - I really enjoyed the music and am not ashamed to say so (-; David Cassidy had a fantastic voice and talent, even with the guitar. Listen to his version of 'Rock Me' It Rocks! Danny Bonaduce was a riot, what a comedic talent! The stories were pretty good too. Their manager character was a nice addition. Susan Dey was a wet dream for many of us adolescent boys. |
Kung Fu - With David Carradine as Quai Chang Kang a Shaolin Priest in America. Loved the Philosophy infused show they put on here. Well done, Beautiful to watch, a meditation even. A man unafraid, journeying to lands unknown.Righting wrongs along the way. That Justice theme again. |
David Blain - His show is usually on late at night. This guy is incredible. He like many of the best magicians brings not only trickery but magic or more accurately the realm of manifesting Intent to his bits out in public. I call attention to 2 things: One, watch him levitate, and number two, watch him refill an opened and freshly used up pop or beer can and leave the top closed and sealed as new before your eyes with nothing but his hands and psychic power to to accomoplish it. |
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir - the last time I saw this show was so long ago yet I still remembered it for this list. Don't remember too much else. Thought the idea of a ghost liking/loving this lady and endeavoring to help her out in all manner of ways I thought was pretty cool. A bit reminescent of say a guardian angel show like Highway to Heaven in that sense. Not quite a serial but fairly close to it. If you've never seen the show try to check it out, on the internet if nothing else. |
Animal Related Shows |
Miercat Manor - On Animal Planet. The daily dramas and adventures of a family of Miercats |
Jeff Corwin and Steve Irwin - On Animal planet. I really appreciate and enjoy the energy of these |
The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Milan - On Animal Planet. As of lat 06 it is no longer on Animal Planet though I do believe this show or perhaps another one featuring him is still on one of the other channels. Check it out if you can he is amazing. You can definately learn a lot from watching his show. I really admire him. Here is his website: http://www.dogpsychologycenter.com/ |
Animal Miracles with Alan Thicke - Wonderful show! Don't doubt the intelligence of animal Beings and don't underestimate the powerful relationships we can have with these Beings. They are more than most of us have thought. Time to wake up and stop taking them and our relationshop with them for granted. |
The Pet Psychic with Sonja Fitzpatrick - I don't think it is on the air anymore. It was in 2004 though on Animal Planet. Too bad as it was a fantastic show and went a good ways to show people that we can communicate more with animals than we have thought and that our relationships with them are very deep. I find Sonja inspiring. Here is her website: http://www.sonyafitzpatrick.com/ |
Cartoons |
The Simpsons - Crazy, Silly, poignant, moving, heartfelt, preposterous, hilarious. Love'em. |
The Family Guy - Talking dogs and babies. Hey, the idea works here. Funny and outrageous! Isn't the creativity of the human mind incredible? Drawing the line between funny and moronic each week. Sometimes I wished I was a cartoonist. I admire those folks that can come up with so many ideas and the twists and turns to go with them. |
Jimmy Neutron - My daughters turned me on to this show. Neat 3D animation show. Characters and stories
are great. That and the shows thems song rocks! This show really showed me that they could now finally put together a really well done Computer Generated Graphics show |
As a Youngster I Enjoyed: Yogi Bear, Speedy Gonzales, Bugs Bunny and gang, Tom and Jerry, Roadrunner cartoons, Quick Draw McGraw, Huckelberry Hound, Foghorn Leghorn and more I don't remember at this moment. |
So Old They Are in Black and White |
The Munsters - Awesome! Great great characters!! I thought this was a very creative show. They really had fun with the whole concept of such an odd family. Loved the cars of course too. |
Dark Shadows - The only Seial drama I ever really got into some. Vampires, werewolves and pretty women
in scary places. Fun Drama. Another one I would look forward to watching |
Andy Griffith and Mayberry - What an intelligent and thoughtful and valuable show that was. People learned and grew out of watching such a show. I really respect Andy Griffith for his commitment to quality and value in television. He brought us a great gift, compassion, integrity and humanity. Thanks also go out to Don Knotts for his incredible acting. I'll never forget you Mr. Limpet (-; |
The Red Skelton Show - My mothers father tuned me onto his show. What a beautiful man Red Skelton is. Compassionate and kind. Great artist on canvas too! He created many great characters for himself on his show. This guys heart really impressed me as a pre-teen and teenager. He inspired me. |
The Dick Van Dyke Show - Great writing and what a great comic actor he is. Wow! So expressive. Great cast! Classic Television.Television can be such a treasure. The warmth that used to come across is pretty rarethese days and I am sorry to say that's so. It can be so much more for us. |
I Love Lucy - Grew up with this one of course. That Lucy was a real character. Like a female |
My Favorite Martian - Circa 1970 or so. The aliens are not our enemies. Great actor choices. I really enjoyed this show! Very early Bill Bixby being one of them. The idea for the Mrs. Kravitz character from Bewitched may have started here with their landlord by the name of Mrs. Brown I believe. |
Superman - Jim Reeves was great! Can you still hear the sound thats made when he flies? I can, |
Daniel Boone - Remember Fess Parker who played the lead and Ed Ames was it that played his Indian partner Mingo? Great Show! Another one a person could learn from. An Andy Griffith type show in that sense. A man close to the land. A man with integrity. |
The Rifleman - Chuck Connors starred in the lead. Another man out for justice. A big theme for me in
my life. It may sound funny to say so but I loved his gun, it was beautiful. He may be why |
The Big Valley - Barbara Stanwick who played the leading role was inspiring as a woman who owned her personal power and made appropiate use of it. A little like Bonanza but here it's a woman in the lead. Owner of a large spread of land in California's Central Valley (The Area I am from). |
The Little Rascals - What a cool show! Such grat characters in these varied kids. Even the dog is a real character. Seems to me that we don't have any show with kids of that age that is a cool a show as this one was. These characters have grown close to the hearts of millions throughout the world and deservedly so. This was a show you could learn from too. |
The Honeymooners - Jackie Gleason, While this show happened before my time, due to the influences of my grandfather and other family members I got to watching it and fell for these wacky characters (the men). That Norton is something else! Jackie was quite the dramatic actor and sang pretty well too from what my Grandfather said. |
M O V I E S I liked/loved many more titles that what follows, these are some that I could remember easily as I addressed this topic. This is not a high priority page for me so I only add to it here and there. Still, there area a good few to peruse and you can get to know me some by reading over them, enjoy. |
Science Fiction |
2001 A space Odyssey & 2010 also -
A movie to pull us forward beyond our time when it first came out. Again a high commitment to quality. As most folk realize the music was/is a huge component to the movie. Strauss waltz's which I love and Space which I feel |
Close Encounters of the Third Kind - One of the motion pictures that influenced me eons ago it seems. Likely about twenty years ago though. Wow! Awesome movie!! Very nice that the aliens did not have to be made out to be monsters and bad folk. Yea! One of only a few wins in that manner it seems. Yes, contact is possible. More than that its real every day and night on this planet. Governments not disclosing a whole lot but that appears to be changing. See the answer to our 1972 broadcast from earth to a star some 30 million light years away. in England crop glyph by going to The Enterprize Mission website. By the way at about 18 to 20 years of age I personally had a close encounter of the 2nd kind I believe it was not of the 3rd kind. My best friend and I witnessed 3 of them South of the state capitol Sacramento one evening. That is a story to relate somewhere eles in this website someday or in a book or interview otherwise. |
Superman
- Like everything else, Superman is a symbol and for each person who has encountered this particular symbol, that symbol they generate, the ideas and meanings attributed to that symbol will be INDIVIDUAL yet will share items in common with others peoples views of that symbol. When something is popular it is so because it resonates for some reason(s) within many people. In the case of Superman as a symbol much of course can be said about why he resonates within so many of us. I won't likely get to writing a dissertation about it here (though you probably initially thought I was going to yes?) but I will share some about this movie and concept. Right now as I contemplate him he occurs as one symbol of our greater being, our inner or higher Self as one might want to say it. This symbol is a way of owning to some degree our more powerful aspects. The Kryptonite for me at this writing represents our fear that there is something exterior to us that can harm us. That we are not all together, invincible after all.
Batman
- Michael Keaton was a superb choice for the part. Again movies 1 and 2 I liked but after that it went down hill. It is a thrill when the people making a movie of a character such as this do such a great job of representing |
Spiderman
- There has been 3 in the series released so far right? And the fourth is Dark Spiderman or some such. I have seen these first three and enjoyed them all though I will say that...doesn't he fight the same villian in either, one of those first three or, this forth one. I don't like that. That feels like a ripoff to me and heres why; they have at their disposal at least 3 decades worth of story lines with a whole gamut of villians to choose from and they go and repeat the villian so soon. I give that move a thumbs down.
The Fantastic Four - I really liked this movie. All the actors were well cast. Fantastic effects. I appreciated that the film was not treated as a joke and that it was a quality production. I look forward to the next one about their adventures. Great Sci-Fi films are important to the human psyche in these times. They present hope of a sort. A connection with the greater spirit by virtue of the hero being superior to the circumstances they face. As our consciousness grows this kind of "suggestion" will be less and less needed by our personalities and these ideas will be expressed more for imagination and creativities sake rather than out of a yearing basically for connection with our greater selves and All That Is. |
The Hulk - Really enjoyed this movie. Great choices for the actors. Effects were great and story at least good. Well produced. Hope they make another but this time have the military not be the enemy. Get more into the characters, bring more consciousness into the picture and keep a good amount of action. It can be done! So many movies are low brow consciousness wise. Depth is a benefit and attractant. Remember that media as it is today (Nov. 2006) is almost entirely corporation owned and in service to those with an agenda of preventing us from attaining enlightenment so we are going to have to take back our media and put it to work for our benefit and not theirs. |
Van Helsing - Wow! Talk about a refreshing take on the traditional scary monsters. I loved this! It's like a singer who takes someone else's song and makes it there own as Simon Cowell of American Idol fame would say. Some folks carry that off so well that their new version of a classic hit becomes a big hit itself. A workable remake. This movie accomplished that and with pinache to boot! The female lead in the movie was someone new to me Kate Beckinsale, Wow! Stunning beauty! Damn!!! |
ROBOCOP - Wow, both devastating and triumphant! Very impactful. I liked both the first and |
Comedys |
Talladega Nights - Funny movie. I was busting up with laughter left and right. A real thigh slapper of a movie. Worth the money to see it. Elf - After seeing this movie I have a much greater |
The Mark Brothers - The early television equivalent of a rock supergroup. The Middle brother pictured was a fantastic pianist and Harpo, the brother on the left was a fantastic harpist. Of course Groucho is the famous mad libber. |
Laurel and Hardy - Laurel just steals your heart doesn't he? These guys just crack me up. I fondly recall watching their movies as a kid and laughing my head off. Hardys Frustration, I can relate to. Great, Great comic duo!! |
The Three Stooges - Silly Funnyness. They have their unique aspects. Moe, Larry, Cheese! Their creative means of hitting each other or defending against. When I got older I started taking the violence aspect and meanness had me not being interested in watching any more but I can still appreciate their genius and comic talents. |
Family Viewing |
Erin Brokovich - Ms. Brokovich, thank you for having the hootzpa to bring to light Pacific Gas and Electric's out integrity. Its all our integrity and I guess you knew that all ready and so took the actions. |
Titanic
- This film needed to be made. No more waiting. Celine Dion's song was perfect and called forth by all of us. I am sure that the song works to open the heart chakra. Other songs the crown and some the sexual one. What is that ones name?
The Wizard of Oz - Grew up with this one. Another movie that WE en-mass (those of us who've experienced it) created. It wasn't just the people who physiclly made the film at any level nor the author himself. Life is a confluence of intents, currents of psychological intent. The physical reality we experience is only a portion of the greater realities that are actually occuring. All of us together, psychologically conjured up into physical reality that movie and those ideas that our desire and imagination were/are intent upon. Nearly everyone I know also loves this movie. Beautiful example of the majesty possible when combining imagination with writing talents. We are all blessed to created for ourselves this movie. I only recently in 2002 got around to reading any of the authors series of books on the land of OZ. For a long time I did not know there even were more than one story. I wish to acknowledge also the extreme commitment to quality that went into the making of this motion picture. I am a big fan of quality so I appreciated their commitment very much. Fantastic cast. No accidents. Great perfections for everyone of them and even for us film goers. And now for a unique hardly known about back story on the Wizard of OZ click here. |
Awakenings - Enlightening. Possibilities exist, but we need to be open to them at some level for them to show up. Has
to do with beliefs. Robin Williams, Thank you. Wonderful choice picking that part. Really we all supported you in choosing it. With openness, love and commitment to |

Action / Adventure |
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon - I thought the flying bit might not sit well for me given what I'd seen of other Hong Kong Martial Arts films but I was pleasantly surprised that the way this film maker did it and put it together did work and the film was wonderfull. I do chaste however a bit when I have to watch characters do the unrequited love thing. I don't go for unrequieted love. I've been able to realize perfections in it but I sure don't have any interest in messing about in that. Risk if necessary but avail oneself of the power of love requieted, that is to say taken on and had. Beautiful cinematography in this film. That female lead was hauntingly beautiful and an excellent marital artist. |
Enter the Dragon -
Bruce Lee is the physical worlds Superman as far as I am concerned. |
King Kong - I loved this movie! the sets and cinematography were a wonder and the newest version of the Ape himself was really great. The actor Jack Black did fine playing the part of the director. the director of this movie is Peter Jackson who did Lord of the Rings and in this one too he as hit a home run. Really well done. Jaw droppingly good. If you haven't already, go see it! |
Lord of the Rings - Peter Jackson is The Man! Wow! What a gift he gave us all by way of his taking this project on. Great casting! Everything about this speaks of first class treatment. Music, attention to detail. Expansiveness. You can grow by watching this movie. It is not 'filler' material such as grade b movies. Liv Tyler is a stunning beauty in this picture. Peter Jackson is the one I would like to do a similar treatment with the story of Annunaki and the Story of their history here on Earth. Go to www.sitchin.com or read Zechariah Sitchin's books to learn of their pervasive influence on our many civilizations. |
Dances With Wolves - Kevin Costner, Thank you for your courage in |
For Mature Audiences |
American Beauty - Supposedly the scene with the bag flying around was controversial for some people, they did not understand that part of the movie. They wondered, what are we watching that for? Whats the meaning or purpose here? I got it though and loved that that was in the movie. The bag bit was one of the parts I liked about the movie. For me it represented magic, the possibility, of anything. A time to reflect, to just Be with and in the moment. I liked the movies edgyness. I like traveling through ever new mental territories and this movie delivered that. Its intensity level, its depth, and the well developed characters were all great as I am recalling a year later. |
Altered States - William Hurt played the role of a scientist who works perhaps too passionately toward his goal. He goes inward in his seeking for new knowledge. he gets in touch with his animalistic aspects. He fights to maintain his humanness, his hold on this reality. Very intense and emotional. A movie we can learn from. |
Being There - Peter Sellers best film? Maybe. I really enjoyed the Pink Panther films but this one took the cake. No mistake that he left here after doing this film and not before. He made a particular statement that way. Perhaps the statement is "Watch this, its important". Anything is possible. |
Life Is Beautiful - Just saw this in 2002. That was/is a beautiful picture. It is one that you won't feel all of while your watching the picture. It will linger within you in a way and as you contemplate or share with someone about it you will realize more and appreciate it more. My experience anyway. I really enjoyed this movie. It is one of the few movies I would be willing to sit through a second viewing of. Be warned, the lead character does speak fairly quickly and that so did not work for my mother that she did not hang in there to watch the whole thing. Her loss for now. Maybe she will raise her vibration rate some and give it another try someday. |

Purple Rain - Most impactful. I come from a family that can be called dysfunctional. I identified (as did many who saw the film I believe) with the lead character in various ways. I want that motorcycle he rode for instance. Prince, do you have it, may I have it. (-: Anyways the characters woman was very beautiful and HOT. I am sure I am not alone there. I loved Prince's performance, his eccentric behavior and his music. A channeled work (aren't they all) for all of us. When did this movie come out? I think I saw it as a young adult, I don't know at what age. Whatever it was it was impactful on my psyche. |

The Rocky Horror Picture Show - I love this film!!! Stretching the limits of some folks sexual stances and mores. I
became a huge fan of Tim Currey out of this movie. I also liked him a lot in another movie with a very young Tom Cruise called ummmm what? That movie had gorgeous cinematography to and UNICORNS! Back to Rocky Horror. I adore the
fact of the audience participation in this movie. Can we have some more of those please. What good clean fun! (-; I never "dressed up" when I went to the show. I did not have the interest. Enjoyed watching others do
that for me though. Susan Sarandon, You are great. I admire you also for the roles you have taken on in other films. You occur for me as a real person. A down home lady. I enjoy your interviews when I see them on television." |

The Green Mile - Set in a prison in the American South. One inmate has a fearsome reputation. Beyond that personna though lies otherworldly powers of healing. One guard gets to experience plenty of high drama relative to this. Excellent story. Beautiful message. Look beyond the books cover. This is an intense movie so know that going in. |
