Believing in OUR Magnificence
Makes a Difference

We all have our heroes,

people who have in one manner or another positively inspired us. These inspirational figures may live in our hometown or in some other country. They may come from Hollywood or our local church. They may be living today or they may have lived in the recent or even ancient past. They may  be close to us personally or we may never have met them. But whether we experience them directly in person, or indirectly through television, a piece of music, a book, or some other means, they have all inspired us in their own individual ways to Be ... more.

Some of these folks stand out as obvious geniuses like Mozart, for example, while others simply have particular characteristics, attributes and abilities that we really admire and respect, such as the courage and daring of Amelia Erhardt. There are also those whose influence ... is felt ... beyond time. A great example here is Einstein. Commonly, people have found themselves lamenting having missed the chance to have encountered personally the great beauty of beings such as the visionary Martin Luther King or the pioneer Jeaques Cousteau. As we reflect upon these and other outstanding current or past personages we begin to wonder about, both in general and specific terms, what their life must  really be or have been  like. And what  did or do they think and feel about various things at various times in their life.

In our effort to relate to and comprehend the who, what and how of our role models we use the intellect, imagination and our emotional and intuitional aspects to tune into them. Our musings often go beyond simply having questions to ask or conversations we'd love to have with them. I think most of us have daydreamed about being a contemporary or colleague of a genius or much admired person ... Henry Ford for instance. Still others have thought and fantasized about what it would have been like to have been one of their idol's most intimate relationships, i.e. their parent, sibling, friend, or their lover.  An artist of today whose shining light and mentor of sorts is Van Gogh might contemplate the difference they as a friend or financial benefactor of his would have made in his life. Or , if one were to have been a husband of Marilyn Monroe's, how might we have affected her experience of self worth?

You see, not only do we think in terms of how being with these people would benefit us, but also how we would benefit them. What inspiration, knowledge, compassion, support and love might you or I have brought them at just the right times in their life.

The real sense of awe and appreciation we experience with these
larger than life stars can also be found
in anyone.

We need only be willing, desirous of, and intent upon experiencing the other person's well-intended high ideals. This would necessarily include our owning up to and then setting aside any and all limiting beliefs and judgements we've got about them. We'll also need to quiet down our inner mental dialogue, so that we have the space to see and hear the other person's greatness expressing. From here we can step into their shoes and invest yet maintain ourSself, while getting to know and relate to their world, and their reality from something closer to their perspective. By personally identifying with them and their reality we recognize the sovereignty of their BEING, and validate for us at least, their experiences, life, and reality. This is a requisite for a meaningful and workable relationship. To attempt to deny or diminish another's validity or value is to do so to our own. Through subjective identification with any consciousness, real understanding, communication and cooperation occurs naturally. That consciousness then becomes another sacred other aspect of ourself.

I mention all of this,

to communicate to you, that for me, in the most basic yet profound of terms

Everyone Of Us, IS A Magnificent Human, Endeavoring In Being.

So...when and as we meet , let us recognize and support
each other's expressions of our magnificence
.

In India there is a word, Namaste.  It means:
The light within me salutes the light within
you.
